Rondout has produced outstanding safety results by devising and implementing a Health and Safety Program. The program encompasses extensive training and monitoring which includes job safety, pre and post employment drug testing, vehicle safety, and hazardous waste training. Additional programs include safety goals and objectives, a safety incentive program and numerous other initiatives that focus on safety awareness.
Management and supervisory personnel are held accountable for the safety performance of the workforce. All employees are required to familiarize themselves with our health and safety manuals. New employees receive an extensive orientation in the Rondout safety culture—site safety meetings, incident reporting, accident investigation, subcontractor safety program and disciplinary action for unsafe practices.

Rondout is the recipient of the Gold Safety Award by the Northeastern Subcontractors Association (NESCA) in recognition of 172,767 man-hours worked without a lost workday incident (incident rate of 0.00) in 2011.
